Homework Expectations - BBPS

Rationale: ‘Homework is defined as any task assigned by school teachers intended for students to carry out during non-school hours designed to meet specific learning goals.’   Homework Policy Guidelines, DOE May 2021.

The Homework Expectations have been reviewed at Byron Bay Public School. This document has been developed in consultation with parents, staff and students. It is reflective of the school community’s views regarding homework. This document outlines the homework expectation for each stage.

Statement: Byron Bay Public School’s Homework Expectations aim to support equitable practices whilst recognising the diversity of families in our school community.

Stage 1 (Year 1-2)

Stage 2 (Year 3-4)

Stage 3 (Year 5-6)
