White Aspen (Acronychia Oblongifolia)

White Aspen (also called Acronychia oblongifolia) is a small rainforest tree found in eastern Australia, from Queensland to New South Wales. It has shiny green leaves and small white flowers that turn into pale yellow or white berries.

The berries have a strong lemon or spicy citrus flavour and can be eaten fresh. They are rich in vitamin C and can also be used in jams, sauces and drinks.

White Aspen trees grow in warm, rainforest areas and are loved by birds and insects. The tree isn’t very big, so it’s also planted in gardens for its pretty fruit and flowers.
