Sea Parsley (Apium Prostratum)

Sea Parsley grows by the coast in Australia. It has tasty leaves that smell like parsley or celery but a bit salty. People eat the leaves fresh in salads or cooked with fish and meat. The roots can also be cooked and eaten. Sea Parsley helps with tummy aches and can be made into a tea to soothe stomach problems. The leaves can help with joint pain and skin irritations too. This plant is important for stopping soil from washing away on sandy beaches.

Fun fact: Even though it likes salty places, you can grow Sea Parsley in a garden!
