Tree Fern (Cyathea Cooperi)

Tree ferns live in rainforests and wet places. The young leaves, called fiddleheads, can be cooked and eaten like spinach or asparagus. The soft inside of the trunk can also be eaten after cooking and is full of energy. Some tree ferns help heal wounds and reduce swelling. The leaves can be made into a tea to help with fever or to cool down. Tree ferns are very old plants—some have been around for hundreds of millions of years! They are also important in some Indigenous ceremonies.
