The Macadamia’s traditional name is Gumbar which is native to the Bundjalung nation and considered a delicacy. It was collected in coolamons or dilly bags and taken to feasting grounds. They were also traded between tribes and used as special ceremonial gifts at inter-tribal corroborees.
