The Black Apple grows in rainforests along the east coast of Australia, mostly in New South Wales and Queensland. The tree has dark green, shiny leaves and can grow quite tall. It produces round, purple-black fruits that look a bit like plums. When the fruit is ripe, it’s soft and sweet, and can be eaten fresh.
The tree grows best in warm, wet areas and is usually found in rainforests. Birds and animals also eat the fruit, helping to spread the seeds.
